LP Cabinets

Construction Process
Welcome to LP Design. We are a custom cabinet shop located in Portland, Oregon specializing in design and fabrication of commercial store fixtures, office interiors, and European style residential kitchen cabinetry. Here are the highlights of our fabrication process.

All of our cabinets are constructed using 3/4" cabinet grade plywood or melamine for residential applications. For commercial applications, we use 3/4" plywood or particleboard laminated both sides with high pressure laminate (HPL).

All of our cabinets use dado joinery and the panels are accurately cut and grooved using a computer controlled router. This process is superior to manual fabrication since it eliminates any human error involved in measuring and cutting. All of the components are assembled using glue under pressure and either nailed or screwed from the sides (fasteners are not visible on exposed parts). Our construction methods are "Premium" by the AWI standard.

Numerous features distinguish and separate our high-end custom cabinets to hose low-end types at a typical big box store. We would be very happy to discuss your cabinetry needs with you along with any other questions about our manufacturing processes. We look forward to working with you on your next project so contact us today.

Thank you,
